How do we honorably respond to what seems to be increasing hostility toward Christians, the Bible and God’s values?
Nehemiah has some counsel for us!
I have an important question for you to begin with today: ‘As you watch the changes taking place in the society where you live, what words would you use to describe changes in attitudes toward God, the Bible, Christian Churches, Christian people, Christian values?’ Here’s a second question: ‘If you are old enough to compare the society in which you live today with what it was 25 years ago or 50 years ago… how would you describe the changes in the overall morality / the respect of people one for another / attitudes of the general population regarding older people and pregnant women and unborn babies and police / attitudes toward mothers who chose to stay at home and raise their children rather than pursue an out of the home career and put their pre-school children in the care of non-family members?’ Or attitudes toward people born in other parts of the world, or attitudes toward the handicapped?
