I begin today with one of life’s most fundamental questions: WHY do you and I exist? I don’t mean what was the biological process by which you were conceived, but rather WHY has God given you and I life and breath from our conception to this moment? I’m not asking what your vocation is, nor what your hobbies are, nor who your family is. I’m not asking about your life achievements or accomplishments for which you have been applauded. About 3500 years ago God made a powerful statement to the most powerful man in the world at that time. Here’s what God said to the great Pharaoh of Egypt through Moses: “I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you My power and that My name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” (Ex. 9:16) Wow, what a statement!
