Everyone I know has a favorite part of the Christmas story, I wonder what yours is?  This week we’re looking at what happened AFTER that special night in Bethlehem. Yesterday we visited the Temple with Joseph, Mary and infant Jesus and encountered Simeon and Anna… wow what a special day that must have been for them!
 
The next event, which the Bible gives, may have actually happened several months or even a year after Jesus’ Bethlehem birth, but this event started months before Jesus was born. Matthew gives us the story of ‘Magi’ coming from a distant country in the east to find a ‘newborn king’. Exactly which country they came from, we don’t know, nor do we know for sure how many of them came. Usually the story of these men, when told in drama or song, depicts three of these often called “Wise Men” but that’s probably because three types of gifts are mentioned.
