For the past week we've been sitting with the apostle John as he writes his first little letter to Christians, both Jewish and Gentile, across the Roman Empire, in the middle of the first century. He's being led by the Holy Spirit to respond to a very important question that amazingly I hear very often today, 2000 years after John wrote his letter! The question is essentially this: "How do I know if my salvation is real? Can I be certain that I really am "born again" and really have been forgiven of my sin by God and I really am going to heaven when I die?"
