As we turn the page to November, I am struck by the global significance of the past few weeks and the next few days. Looking back, we've recently watched the transition of power in the United Kingdom both in the royal family and in the Prime Minister and halls of the British government. We've seen China name President XI Jinping to an unprecedented third term as supreme leader of the most populous nation on earth. We've seen Russia's leadership continue their relentless attack on the people of the small nation of the Ukraine. And we've watched NATO and the EU respond in support of Ukraine. But those are just a few of the major events of recent days. Looking ahead, in the next few days there will be elections in America which may have major implications for the future of the United States, both domestically and internationally.
