Yesterday we began a 20-day journey, with Jesus and His disciples, toward Passover/Easter weekend 2023. We joined them when Jesus had paused to make a profound and shocking statement to His friends who were walking along with Him. Matthew was an eyewitness, and he records the troubling words Jesus said that day: "We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn Him to death and will hand Him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day He will be raised to life!" (Matt. 20:17-19) (Click here to see full text, images and links) Today's Scripture is John 11:1-40. Choose below to read or listen.
