‘Good-byes’ are never easy, are they? Especially if you know the good-bye is for a very long time or maybe even permanently. Since Easter, we’ve been looking at the post-resurrection appearances of Jesus with His friends. Dr. Luke tells us this in the opening words of His book “The Acts”: “After His sufferings, Jesus presented Himself to His disciples and gave many convincing proofs that He was alive. He appeared to them over a period of 40 days and spoke about the kingdom of God.” (Acts 1:3) So now we know it was 40 days from His resurrection that Passover/Easter weekend, until Jesus left them for the last time, and we know what Jesus was doing during those 6 weeks.
