I’m sure all of us have faced the consequences of our decisions and actions. If you are a parent or grandparent, you’ve warned your kids and grandkids that consequences are real and sometimes can be disastrous and long lasting, even to the extreme of destroying relationships and reputations! I left you yesterday stunned at the terrible choices King David had made over a period of more than 1 year, resulting in adultery with Bathsheba; the murder of her husband Uriah, one of David’s faithful warriors; and a prolonged year of cover-up of his terrible sins. That horrible but very important story in God’s Grand Narrative is found in 2 Samuel 11,12.
